چکیده

Abstract Background and Aims Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is the leading cause of end-stage renal disease, but few biomarkers early identification DKD are available. The aim study was to asses new urinary plasma in stages DKD, especially normoalbuminuric type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) patients. Method This cross-sectional pilot performed an integrated metabolomic profiling blood urine 90 patients with DM, classified into 3 (30 normo-, 30 micro-, macroalbuminuric, respectively) age- gender-matched healthy controls through high-performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (UPLC-QTOF-ESI* MS). Metabolites were discovered processed by advanced Metaboanalyst 5.0. online software using multi- univariate untargeted analysis. Both multivariate bioinformatics confirmed relevance certain amino acids as be responsible for occurrence involvement course DM. Results A total 5 metabolites, namely Taurine, Tiglylglycine, Tryptophan, Kynurenic acid, L-acetylcarnitine potential DKD. UPLC-QTOF-ESI* MS revealed that: (1) levels increased DM compared control subjects; (2) a number key have been identified urine, which reflect injury at specific sites along nephron, including glomerular tubular damage, oxidative stress, inflammation, activation intrarenal renin-angiotensin system. Conclusion High-performance coupled showed that results provide particular profile related metabolites could impact both glomeruli tubules, even

Serum and Urinary Progranulin in Diabetic Kidney Disease

Progranulin has been recognized as an adipokine related to obesity, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). There are scarce data regarding progranulin and kidney disease, but there are some data linking diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and increased progranulin levels. We aimed to better describe the relationship between serum and urinary progranulin levels and DKD in T2DM. This i...

Non-albuminuric Diabetic Kidney Disease in Diabetic Patients: A Review

Introduction: The constantly increasing incidence of type 2 diabetes, probably due to obesity and sedentary life, has led to the increased incidence of macro- and microvascular diabetic complications such as nephropathy. Despite the prompt efforts to develop effective treatments for diabetes and slow the progression of its complications, it is still reported as the most common cause of chronic ...

Identification of urinary proteins potentially associated with diabetic kidney disease

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the most common cause of chronic kidney disease. Although several parameters are used to evaluate renal damage, in many instances, there is no pathological change until damage is already advanced. Mass spectrometry-based proteomics is a novel tool to identify newer diagnostic markers. To identify urinary proteins associated with renal complications in diabetes, we c...
